Mike Anthony responded to my request. He was very prompt in getting back with us. I made arrangements to meet him and his crew. We made the decision to use Michael Anthony because I felt like he came to the appointment with pictures of the previous work that he has done. The previous work was awesome. My husband did carpentry in the past and knows what top quality work looks like. He was very impressed with the craftsmanship. You can Mike takes pride in his work.


We loved the work so much, that we added an additional amount of work for him. We had him put a new metal roof along with additional decking and new doors on the front of the cabin.

His crew was so professional. Very polite. We would recommend them to anyone. We trusted them in our home and have become great friends and hope to be friends forever.

We were introduced to Mike Anthony through a mutual acquaintance.  We had spent some time on a house design which we felt would complement our property.  We visited a house that Mike was finishing and decided that we liked not only the design, but the workmanship and we made several changes to the plan and engaged Mike to build the house.  Mike thought that it would take approximately 9 months to complete the house given that we were starting in August and headed into colder weather. Turns out that it was a very cold winter and with the exception of about ten days in February when the temperatures hovered around zero degrees Mike and his crew were on the job every day Monday through Friday (and most Saturdays towards the end) to complete the job and get our CO exactly 9 months to the day from when we broke ground.

Mike and his crew are all skilled carpenters and their workmanship is very good and he is adept at solving the problems that typically arise in course of a construction project. We were actively engaged in the project and in choosing some of the subs because of certain products we wanted to use, but Mike worked well with all of the subs even though some of them he was working with for the first time.

Though we didn’t build a log home, or cabin style home (Mike’s specialty), we were able to work with Mike to obtain the desired results.  We have a beautiful home in the mountains of North Carolina.

We searched for several builders who could envision our ideas and turn them into reality.  Mike was the only builder who was willing to go the extra mile and spend considerable time investigating a feasibility analysis on some very challenging property due to a 14 degree slope.  After a few short on-site discussions, the project was underway with complete confidence. Whether building a log cabin or traditional stick built home, the challenges of “mountain Style” building are different from what most believe and you will gain valuable insight with his years of experience of building in the High Country.

Mike recently completed some remodeling and repair work for us on a modular home. We had him remove some walls and he had to design and implement a way to decoratively redo the support beams along the marriage walls.  It looks beautiful. We also had to replace a back patio door, along with sub-flooring and most of our deck. He determined the most cost effective way to do this and it turned out being so much nicer and cheaper than we expected. He recommended the replacement door that we should get and we absolutely love it. He did a wonderful job with all the repairs as well as installation of the door.  I would highly recommend him to anyone needing any work done, whether it is new construction or remodeling. He is very cost efficient and does great work.
